Daniel Gerard Likar was born in June 1994 and grew up in a very average suburb of the greatest city in the world, Cleveland.
He grew up loving art and began drawing at an early age. It wasn't until he was in high school that he found that he preferred three dimensional art and crafting something one of a kind with his hands. He got his start in crafts at Garfield Heights High School, under the leadership of Artist, Jeanne Tiefenbach. Likar has a Bachelors of Fine Arts with a concentration in Jewelry and Metalsmithing from Kent State University.
His main body of work consists of jewelry that focuses on the ideas of bold playful colors and iconic shapes. With an ever expanding love of Cleveland, aspects of his work like to play off of themes and concepts related to the city. Likar strives to make wearable art that appeals to anyone who encounters it. He wants his work to be worn often and loved well. Danny lives and works in Cuyahoga Falls, OH.
